Con el ánimo de discutir con las comunidades indígenas el proyecto de reforma constitucional que se adelanta en el vecino país, varias organizaciones adelantarán los días 12 y 13 de abril una gran consulta indígena.
La Consulta Indígena, organizada por una coalición de organizaciones indígenas nacionales como la Coordinadora Permanente de Pueblos Indígenas del Perú (COPPIP), la Asociación Interétnica de Desarrollo de la Selva Peruana (AIDESEP), la Coordinadora Nacional de Comunidades del Perú Afectadas por la Minería (CONACAMI), la Confederación de Nacionalidades Amazónicas del Perú (CONAP) y la Coordinadora Agroforestal Indígena y Campesina del Perú (COICAP), entre otras, busca congregar a cientos de delegados de todas las regiones del país para discutir los alcances que la reforma constitucional tendrá en las minorías étnicas.
El evento, que tendrá lugar durante los días 12 y 13 de abril, culminará con la realización de un Foro Indígena en el auditorio Raúl Porras Barrenechea del Palacio Legislativo el próximo lunes 14 de abril, para que los representantes de los pueblos indígenas y comunidades afroperuanas entreguen sus propuestas al Congreso de la República.
