Según el Periódico Erbol Digital, que recogió las opiniones del diputado guaraní Avilio Vaca, la Asamblea Legislativa Plurinacional (ALP) boliviana no tiene contemplado debatir ningún proyecto de Ley de Consulta Previa.
En sus declaraciones, el legislador indígena manifestó su interés en retomar el tema, puesto que el Ejecutivo había presentado una propuesta en 2014, con el apoyo de las organizaciones del Pacto de Unidad.
Avilio Vaca expreso que no conoce el destino del borrador del anteproyecto que fue entregado al presidente Evo Morales. De dicho proyecto no se conoce nada ni en la Comisión de constitución, ni en la Comisión de Pueblos Indígenas.
En la nota periodística se recuerda que al menos cinco proyectos de Ley de Consulta Previa fueron presentados en 2012 a la ALP por organizaciones como la Asamblea del Pueblo Guaraní (APG), el Consejo Nacional de Ayllus y Markas del Qullasuyu (CONAMAQ) y la Confederación de Pueblos Indígenas de Bolivia (CIDOB), entre otros sectores.
